JOYJOYJOY ROYALTY  / THE ROYAL PALACE DISTRICT

 

This monument from the 16th century is designed by us with respect for the monumental building and authentic details. Its located at the famous Herengracht on the corner with the Roayl Palace. Its in the oldest part of the canal district with a lot of Juicy ingredients like cosy bars, chic restaurants, hip dance clubs, special shops and the main attractions.

 

In this canal house we designed  a spot whit our concept of  UPgrading your living. The juicy fresh interior is filled with sustainable design.

 

The travel space is in a loft with a rooftop position overlooking the city and the canals. Here you find a place to sleep and bath in an eco chic setting. Your welcome in the living area to enjoy your fair coffee and tea from the kitchen. And in the hang out you find relaxed furniture to chill and overlook the city.

THE LOCATION

 

Staying in this space in the very hart of the city at the most famous canal gives you the opportunity to look down on the buzzling city the whole day. The canal down under you is full of boats. You watch the people shopping in the upcoming shopping street next to the building, the Raadhuisstraat, filled with hip eclectic shops and concept stores.

 

Around the corner you find the Palace from the King next to the Dam Square. More central you can not stay. The Dam is surrounded by the big shopping streets with the global brands.

 

On the left of the building you look at the famous Nine Streets filled with a mix of chic boutiques, flag ship stores from high end brands, vintage shops, restaurants and hip coffee bars.

 

On the right the artistic Jordaan stretches out where you find traditional brown bars, some with the traditional dutch music to sing along with until late in the night. The flea market, second hand stores, vintage cloths, many cosy restaurants all draped around the canals.

Your in the middle of the real Amsterdam life while on the other hand you can experience the calmness of the view on the sky and the trees  through your windows.

 

The space has a southwestern position that provides you with a lot of light and sun. Opening the big windows offers you an indoor terrace. Sitting in the hanging chair in the window, sipping from your drink you enjoy the urban sounds like the tring of the tram and the bells from the famous Westertoren.

 

Here you overlook the canals filled with boats with people that relax or dance on music. The trees surrounding the canals creates a romantic setting. A view thats so lovely and every time touches your sole.

The space is very light and white. The original wooden floors are restored and give the space a pure loft feeling. A web of original white beams creates the loft atmosphere.

 

Behind your own ‘front door’ there are two complete guestrooms with a bathroom. In every room you feel at home. On the 2 persons natural latex lounch-bed its nice to chill after a busy day. In the sitting area you find a natural made armchair perfect to read the papers. At the desk locally made by disabled people you are able to continue working during your stay.

The kitchen is stylish and cool in a recyclable steel outfit with a concrete workspace. All the stylish equipment is there for you. At the concrete kitchen-island you can sit down having your fair trade espresso.

 

You will find fair products in the kitchen like coffee, for the Nespressomachine, tea, sugar and milk to comfort your stay.

The travel space is a design space where UP-grading is integrated. Every product is fair, eco, recycled, vintage or design.The goal is to inspire you with good design and take the story to your home to create there your own Upgrade living scenery.

 

Being a member of our society you ad value to a better world. Every year our design studio build a house for the homeless in africa. With your investment you invest in this good goal. Well then you sleep even better.

Next to your own room there is the living where our own series of lounch furniture invites you to relax, watch television of listing to your own playlist.

 

The furniture is made locally with natural products and covered by a beautiful high-end fabric from Italy sustainably made from recycled plastic and textile.

Your rooms are special designed for you to have a good sleep. The mattresses are a good quality. The bedstuff is warm and comfy. We want you to have good dreams.

 

In the bedroom you find a television. Laying in your bed you can whatch your movie with the wifi internet screens.

The bedrooms has a bureau so your able to work if thats necessary. The wifi is good and supplies you to do your job far away.

 

Also this working space is designed with natural and eco details to give you a warm and homey feeling.

The bedrooms are there for you to relax and feel at home. They design is cosy and comfortable.

 

For a coffee of tea your welcome in the kitchen in the lobby. The lobby is a shared area. Here you can talk with the owner of the Bed and Breakfast who can tell you everything about te city.

Renting the spaces from joyjoyjoy society you are member of our society. joyjoyjoy society creates spaces to Upgrade living. Beside your travel space we created other spaces where Upgrade living is the core goal. In an old church in Amsterdam, you can visit we have a hub with events and expo’s.

 

We created a model to UP grade your living based on the four handels for living. Its a life stlyle with the four handels that supply you with tools to make your life better and the world a better place.

The bathroom is cool luxury and new with design brushed rvs tabs, grey marble tiles and a concrete tiled floor. From the rvs tap out of the wall the water splashes in the black stone sink.

 

The beautiful Eco body products from the fair Amsterdam based brand Marie Stella Maris takes care of your smile in the morning.

The marble shower supplies you with a luxury and fresh start of the day. The big shower head let the water splash on your head taking away all you regular thought and give space to dream away.

 

Although we all need to act sustainable so don’t dream to long and keep the shower time short. Dream further on one of the great terraces and feel you did good by taking care of our world.

 

You stay in a classic canal house build in the 16th century with a monumental entrance. Behind the front door the white stuc panels tels a story about the life that days. The chandelier at the ceiling unlighted the entrance.

 

Via the stairs you enter the classis Amsterdam canal house bordes. There is a nice bench where you can sip from your coffee looking at the people that creates a living gallery.

This part of the canal was realized as one of the first phases in developing the canal system. In that time the view from the top floors reached Haarlem.

 

The space is located in the hart of the hart of the city. Your neighbours are king Alexander and queen Maxima, when they stay in the capital in their Palace at the Dam.

Located at the Herengracht Canal you watch the boats go by. On sunny days its a real nautical session with a mediterrean atmosphere. Watch them go by in your having chair in the window.

 

Every day the canals offer a view that’s calm and romantic. The trees along the canals makes it feels like a park.

The space is located on the boarder of the Jordaan area. There you find a lot of local bars, like the famous ‘brown cafes’ restaurants and authentic shops.

 

Here every Saturday and Monday morning the famous Noordermarkt is held where you find all kind of vintage stuff, biologic food and fabrics.

In the direct environment you find all the big shopping streets and a lot of interesting touristic. Nevertheless this space is located on the Herengracht where you find the local atmosphere.

 

On the other site of the street you see the famous Nine Streets, the shopping area divided over nine small charming Amsterdam streets. A lot of flagship stores and concept stores are located here.

Its a historic building with a long history. At historic paintings the house is painted very often because of the interesting location on the corner of a canal in the very hart of the historic city. This part of the canal belongs to the first canals that were created in the 16th century what makes it one of the oldest parts of the city.

 

Also on the first photo’s of the city made by the historic photographer Jacob Olie the house is often a subject. Its displayed  in the historic musea from the city.
