THE NDSM CHURCH / THE JOYJOYJOY / AMSTERDAM NORTH

In the upcoming area in the North of Amsterdam we transformed a stunning church in a social design hub. Around a big open inside square under the wooden beams you find cool workspaces.

The building includes multiple restaurant Cometa. Next to gooood food, a cosy bar, the old school blue pool table, vintage furniture there is an enchanting agenda. Concerts, poetry, plays, poetry, debate events, cinema and some things more. After or before it’s glorieus sitting in the chairs along the open fire. Around the building there is a big garden where we grow green stuff for the kitchen and to provide a green area to impulse your happy hormons. Draped along the dike with the old cranes from the wharf on the other side you feel the authentic scenery surrounding you. Its a beautiful setting for beautiful bizniz.

Amsterdam Centre | Bickerseiland | The Blok at the Island

At the Bickerseiland we designed a spacey loft in a modern building from architect Paul de Ley. With a 5 meter high ceiling and an entresol you feel the artistic spirit the neighbourhood is known for.

The old wooden floor and the concrete walls creates a robust space where working and living is all about creating. The space is filled with modern solistic objects. The windows reach the ceiling with the famous light from the north. In the separate kitchen you find recyclable rvs cupboards and the basic kitchen ingredients. There is also a bathroom with a real natural stone floor that fits perfect in the setting.

The neighbourhood provides you with a creative atmosphere with the vibe of a village. Around the corner you fine the popular Haarlemmerstraat and the famous Jordaan. The water is next to the spaces where in summertime you can jump and take a coooool swim.
